Upcoming Events For Helping Cure Diabetes

There are a couple events coming up to benefit the cure for diabetes.

The first is a kick-off event for the North Country Walk to Cure Diabetes.

It's from 2 to 5 p.m. August 12 at Showtime Skating at Northland Plaza on Eastern Boulevard in Watertown.

The second event is the third annual Juvenile Diabetes Walk and Ride For Michaela's Wounded Warriors.

It will be September 15. Walkers meet at Thompson Park and riders meet at Northland Plaza.

Registration is at 9 a.m. and the ride and walk begin at 10 a.m.
