Hundreds of people walked in Watertown Sunday to raise money for the upstate New York chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The goal: raise $35,000.
"The majority of people who are here, it's because they've been touched in some way by M.S., either a friend or a family member or they just know how debilitating this disease is and they just want to do something to help," said Sue Powers, who coordinated this year's walk.
Multiple sclerosis in an inflammatory disease that attacks the nervous system. It produces a range of effects, many of them severe.
Kevin Keefe was one of the people walking Sunday. His mother has an advanced case of M.S.
