Habitat for Humanity Holds "Blitz Build"

Tools

It started with only a foundation Saturday morning, but by Sunday it should have walls and a roof.

Roughly 25 volunteers put on a "Blitz Build" for the Thousand Islands Area Habitat for Humanity on Superior Street in Watertown on Saturday. The group is building a home for the Bowman family.

Usually it takes a couple of months to get to this point in the construction, but a fire on site last fall set construction back. Now, volunteers are trying to get caught up.

If all goes well, the house will be ready for move-in in the fall.
