The last weekend in July is always special for those in Copenhagen, it is always Firemen's Field Days.
The festival centers around a firematics competition. Big crowds turned out to see 8 fire department teams compete in 9 events. For example, one of the events is known as the c-hose. Teams race down the track, hook up a hose to a hydrant and then hit a target with the water. But, for anyone who's ever been to Field Days in Copenhagen, they know it's a lot more than just buckets, water, and ladders.
"A lot of friends and families come here. A lot of reunions because a lot of families see their friends that they haven't seen in a long time," said Chuck Davis, who was at Field Days in Copenhagen on Saturday.
Field Days continued well into the night and early morning. There was a parade and "R-19" played a four hour set at the dance.
