With one week left before the Hearthstone Ministries in Adams is supposed to be evicted, the thrift store is trying to raise money.
The thrift shop had a barbeque fundraiser Saturday. The owners are trying to raise money in order to purchase the thrift shop.
Last month, the shop received an eviction notice. Owners say they have were never told why and are up to date on all the bills. Still, the owners say they are determined to stay right where they are.
"If she wants to take me to court, she can take me to court," said owner Bill Simpson. "We're not going anywhere for our people. We're going to fight for it."
The thrift shop will hold another barbecue next Saturday from 11am until the food runs out.
