Ice Cream Eating Contest at the Fair

Every eater has his own technique. Every eater has to fight through the same pain of a brain freeze. But regardless of which eater it was at the Jefferson County Fair's ice cream eating contest, every eater was in it, to win that coveted blue ribbon and sparkling fair medal.

The ice cream eating competition at the fair brought competitors from furthest edges of Jefferson county. One and a half minutes to down as many cups of Byrne Dairy vanilla as possible.

Two boys were crowned victors over vanilla. Adam Gault ate 4 cups in the nine to twelve year old division.

"It was very very cold, but I just had to keep eating," said Gault about his win.

Jose Pedro won in the under nine year old division, after downing five cups.
