Watertown police are investigating what they call a "medical emergency" involving a 7 month old child.

Police say they were called to an apartment at 622 Davidson Street just after noon Sunday.

The child was sent by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center. The infant was treated there and was then transported to a Syracuse hospital.

Police have not released the name or the condition of the child.

They do say their investigation continues.
