Port Leyden Samurai Sword Arrest

A Port Lyden man was arrested Saturday night after deputies say he attacked a vehicle with a samurai sword.

According to a press release from the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, Robert Mosley, 48, was trying to stop a family member from leaving his home last night around 11 pm. To do so, he struck a vehicle the family member was in with a samurai sword, breaking the back window. Mosley was charged with Criminal Mischief, 4th degree, Menacing, 2nd degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. All three are misdemeanors.

He was arrested and held in the Lewis County Jail on $1000.00 cash bail or $2000.00 bond.
