Startling Amount of Smoke Comes from Grass Fire

Tools

Thick clouds of black smoke floated over Watertown and could be seen all the way from Adams on Saturday.

Luckily, it was just a grass fire in the town of Hounsfield. Firefighters are saying a mix of dry grass, trash, and old tires caught fire accidentally behind the barn of Francis Hogan on Lloyd road. Firefighters had the fire contained within thirty minutes, but had to stay for over an hour, making sure the black-smoke producing tires didn't catch fire again.
