Midway rides and Italian food. They often don't mix well. But at the Mount Caramel Feast in Watertown this weekend, no one was complaining.
This is the 97th year St. Anthony's Church has put on the event. It was all about having fun, eating a sausage sandwich and some fried dough, and jumping on the tilt a whirl. Organizers say the fair raises money for the church while bringing people together for a good time.
"Everyone enjoys the Italian food and the rides and the entertainment," said Father Robinson, Saint Anthony's pastor.
The event concluded Sunday night with fireworks.
