Jesus Christ Superstar, a rock opera by Tim Rice and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, will be presented on the BRCS stage on November 5, 6 and 7.

Curtain for all three performances will be at 7:30 p.m. with free entrance fee.

Jesus Christ Superstar first opened on Broadway in 1971.

It has enjoyed many revivals and amateur performances since.

The show revolves around the political aspects of Jesus' time and the interpersonal struggles between Judas Iscariot and Jesus.

It is also based on the canonical gospels, dramatizing the final week of Jesus' life.

Although there have been many interpretations presented over the past 38 years, we will take a more conservative stance, using the script as a tool to teach the historical aspects of the time.
