With this sort of training of exercise, a soldier's worries and pain tends to float away.

Welcome to scuba for soldiers.

It's a part of a therapy program for wounded warriors.

"I have multiple injuries to various parts of my body and being in the pool, I was able to swim for an hour with little to no pain at all," said Staff Sergeant Nathan Haddad.

The Warrior Transition Unit on post has hundreds of members.

Some are dealing with physical injuries while others are battling conditions like post traumatic stress disorder.

Staff Sergeant Juan Carrasco came up with the scuba program.

"We are always looking for new avenues to help the soldiers out to heal mind, body, soul," he said.

The program is in its test run - or test swim for that matter.

If it's successful, it will become a more regular activity for wounded soldiers.

The scuba class is already receiving high marks.
