Soldiers with Fort Drum's 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, a unit nicknamed "The Polar Bears", were treated to breakfast Wednesday.

The troops were recently sponsored through the Adopt-A-Platoon program.  

About 30 soldiers sat down and had breakfast with workers from Watertown's City Electric Company, the business that adopted them. 

Unit commanders say within the month, the soldiers will be shipping off to Iraq. 

During that time, City Electric will be sending care packages to make the year long tour a little easier. 

We wish the Polar Bears a safe and successful mission overseas.
