A man arrested in New Jersey Monday with semi-automatic weapons had a map of Fort Drum with him as well, law enforcement sources told CBS News.

However, the man - Lloyd Woodson, 43 - is not suspected of being a terrorist, according to the FBI.

Woodson's arrest Monday, coming just weeks after the shootings at Fort Hood, raised renewed concern Tuesday of domestic terrorism.

Woodson was initially reported to have a cache of weapons including a grenade launcher, and to be wearing a bullet proof vest when he was arrested.

However, law enforcement sources told CBS News Tuesday he was not wearing a vest, and the FBI downplayed any possible tie to terrorism. The grenade launcher turned out to be a legal device called a Cobray, which launches flares.

"Woodson does not appear to have a link to any known terrorist groups, nor a specific terrorist plot," FBI agent Brian Travers told the Newark Star-Ledger's on-line site, nj.com.

Woodson was arrested in a hotel room in Branchburg, NJ.

Early Wednesday morning, Fort Drum Garrison Commander Colonel Ken Riddle issued the following statement:

"While the recent incident in New Jersey reiterates our need to be attentive to the possibility of an unknown threat, it is important to point out that the Federal Bureau of Investigations preliminary report does not link the involved individual to any terrorist group or ideation.

"Upon the discovery of the map in the individual's living quarters we were immediately notified and are receiving regular updates on the investigation.

"As Garrison Commander it is my #1 priority to ensure the safest possible environment for our Soldiers, Families and Civilians here on post, and I am confident based on various visible and many more not-so-visible security measures we are doing our best to maintain the necessary level of vigilance.

"There is no threat to Fort Drum as a result of this incident."
