Ambulance Rear-ends Car In Heavy Traffic

One person was sent to the hospital after a Fort Drum ambulance rear-ended a car.

The accident happened early Friday afternoon in heavy traffic on Route 11 just north of Anable Avenue in the town of LeRay.

State police said the driver of the car, 25 year old Thomas Donnan of Fort Drum, was taken to the hospital as a precaution due to a possible neck injury.

There were no patients inside the ambulance.

The ambulance driver, 26 year old Evan Hallauer of Fort Drum, was ticketed for following too closely.
