End Of 'Mountain Peak' Could Cause Traffic Tie-Ups

The 10th Mountain Division is wrapping up its Operation Mountain Peak training exercise and that means more traffic delays.

For Drum officials say there will be "excessive military traffic" on Route 26 between routes 3 and 11 starting Wednesday.

Officials say there will be traffic delays through Friday, so motorists should try to avoid that area.

Military officials say there will be longer-than-usual delays at stop signs and traffic lights.

Operation Mountain Peak was Fort Drum's largest training exercise in 10 years and involved about 10,000 soldiers.
