Flags on state government buildings will be flown at half-staff Thursday in honor of a Fort Drum soldier who died from injuries he suffered in an enemy attack in Afghanistan.

Spc. Kerry Danyluk, of Cuero, Texas died April 15 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. His unit was attacked April 12 in Pul-e-Alam, Logar province.

The 27 year old was an infantryman with the 10th Mountain Division's 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team.
