Fort Drum Presents Watertown With Covenant

Local leaders renewed a promise last June to support the military in northern New York by signing the Army Community Covenant.

On Thursday, Fort Drum's garrison commander presented a framed copy of the document to Watertown Mayor Jeff Graham.

It demonstrates the strong bond between Fort Drum and surrounding communities.

"What we presented today to Mayor Graham was a copy of signed covenant," said Colonel Gary Rosenberg.

Rosenberg didn't leave empty-handed. 

To show his appreciation, the mayor gave the colonel a mug with the official seal of Watertown on it.
