Fort Drum Resuming Work On Mount Belvedere Boulevard

An early spring means an early start to road work.

Fort Drum says it will resume work Monday on a portion of Mount Belvedere Boulevard leading onto post.

Phase one involves new drainage from Military Trail back to Route 342.

Phase two involves reconstruction of a section of east bound lanes.

During phase one, daytime traffic will be reduced to two lanes.

"Use extra caution when coming through the construction zones," said Fred Stone of Fort Drum Public Works.

Four-lane traffic will open back up in the evenings.
