Fort Drum's Commissary Could Close 1 Extra Day A Week

The commissary at Fort Drum could be closed one extra day a week if furloughs go into effect.

That's according to Rick Brink, spokesman for the Defense Commissary Agency at Fort Lee in Virginia.

He said it's likely all of the 247 military commissaries around the world, including the one at Fort Drum, would be affected if employees are furloughed.

The one-day-a-week closures would happen in late April, Brink said.

The commissary at Fort Drum is already closed on Mondays.
