Looking for work?

There are temporary jobs available if you're willing to pretend you're someone who lives in a village on the Caspian Sea.

Valbin Corporation is looking for "civilian on the battlefield" role-players for work at Fort Drum.

The jobs pay $16.73 per hour for the first 40 hours.

Beyond that, you get $19.38 in overtime.

You'll be helping Army National Guard soldiers train for daily experiences overseas.

"It's a realistic combat situation. They have a greater understanding for the culture they'll be thrown into," said Jason Arisco of Valbin Corporation.

"I did acting in high school so I just thought it'd be fun to kind of jump back in and do something and watch the training that my husband does as well," said Erin Jones, a job applicant.

Valbin Corporation is accepting applications at the Fairfield Inn in Watertown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through July 29.

The company is looking to hire 100 people.

The first day of work is August 2.

The job continues through the month of August.
