USO Sesame Street LIVE Shows

Open to Military ID Card Holders only. Free tickets for these shows are available through your military unit, CYS Services, and the USO beginning May 24. Although this is a USO event it is being held in a FMWR facility – the Monti Gym. Call the USO Fort Drum at 777-8006 for more information.
Middle School Day Camp Registration Begins
Registration begins at Parent Central Services. Each weekly camp is created around a central theme, and will offer at least two field trips. Field trip locations will vary; however, all campers will be back at the Youth Center prior to 4:00 PM. Permission slips are required for each trip during camp. In Her Shoes: Living With Domestic Violence

This simulation activity is used to increase awareness of the struggles that women with abusive partners face. The activity illustrates how domestic violence is a community tragedy, not a private problem, the ups and downs a battered woman faces over the course of many years, and shows how we all have a role in the movement to end domestic violence. . BOSS Takes You to the Movies
-Friday and Saturday nights
Boss will supply transportation to and from the REEL TIME Theater on Fort Drum. Soldiers mush call at least one hour prior to the movie time to schedule a pick up. Soldiers being transported in a BOSS vehicle will be given a discounted admission to the movie and a REEL TIME Express Voucher from the EXCHANGE. Rides are available for Friday and Saturday night movies only. Call 772-7807.

Hiking Trip to Mount Marcy

Adventure Training offers an overnight hiking trip to hike Mount Marcy in the Adirondacks. The cost is $10.00 for transportation only. Participants must bring your own equipment, food, and water. Archery Club Offers Free Shoot

The Bear Pac Archery Club on Rutland Hollow Road in Watertown will sponsor a Military Appreciation Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 9. Army Birthday Ball

Fort Drum will celebrate the 237th Army Birthday with a formal social event June 15 in the Commons Ballroom, Bldg. P-4350. The evening will include an Army Campaign streamer ceremony, birthday cake-cutting and performance by the Atlas band. Entree choices are lobster-stuffed tenderloin; brie spinach stuffed chicken; and poached salmon with honey mustard sauce. All entrees will come with tossed salad, potato, vegetable and dessert. This event is open to the public: Officers, NCOs, Soldiers, Family Members and civilians. Military dress options are mess dress, Army service uniform or Army dress blues. For civilians, black tie formal attire is preferred. Tickets cost $40 per person. They are available through June 7 from the Protocol Office, Room 111, Hays Hall, Bldg. P-10000. All military veterans, their families and friends are invited to attend the first annual Military & Veteran Appreciation Day and Career Fair for St. Lawrence County. Registration begins at 8 a.m. for the career fair. You can also pre-register online at www.northcountryveterans.com. Vendors and presenters will provide information and help enrolling in and claiming a wide-range of benefits and programs. Additionally, the new St. Lawrence County veterans cards will be issued at this function. The card can be used to take advantage reduced prices at a number of retailers around the county. Bring your original DD Form 214 or a certified copy to get your card.

This highly-anticipated annual event is open to all Soldiers, Family Members, DoD Civilians, and guests. Take the early bus and make the most of your day! Your ticket buys an AUSA Picnic Lunch at the Alexandria Bay Park Pavilion, a one-hour Uncle Sam Boat Tour of the Thousand Islands, and admission to scenic Boldt Castle. Tickets: $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, free for children 5 and under. Unit CSMs will be selling tickets through June 8. Tickets will be available at the Family & MWR window in Clark Hall (Room A2-6) 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 4-20.

The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders will make an appearance at 3:30 p.m. A Salute to the Nation ceremony will by held at 5 p.m. There will be a fireworks display immediately following the Jake Owen concert.
