New Garrison Commander Takes Over At Fort DrumThere's a new garrison commander at Fort Drum. Outgoing commander Col. Noel Nicolle passed the colors to Col. Gary Rosenberg in a ceremony on post Friday. Rosenberg is coming to Fort Drum from a year-long deployment to Iraq. The garrison commander job is much like the job of a city manager. Rosenberg says taking care of people is his most important duty. "In the end, it's all about people. There's people we take care of, the soldiers and the families, and the work force that helps us take care of those soldiers and those families," Rosenberg said. "If you take care of people and the work force takes care of those people, it's been successful." Outgoing commander Noel Nicolle is headed to Korea for his next assignment. Most Popular |
