It isn't just schools and health care facilities worried about the spread of seasonal flu or the H1N1virus.

Businesses are also worried about the effect wide spread illness will have on their employees.

This week on For Your Health, we didn't have to go very far to find evidence that businesses are offering to hold clinics or pay a portion of immunizations in order to keep their workforce healthy.

Jefferson County Public Health conducted a paid clinic at Channel 7 Thursday for seasonal flu vaccinations.

More and more businesses are trying to make sure their employees are protected.

"We've had more requests than normal for business and unfortunately due to our limited time we can't accommodate everybody, but we strongly encourage them to come to our Wednesday clinics 12:30 to 3:30, which is open to the public," said Kristan Andrus of the public health department.

Andrus says business owners are not only worried about the time lost if their employees get sick, but the amount of time they have to take off to deal with family members who may be ill with the flu.
