For Your Health: YogART

Tools

"YogART" gives the kids a little yoga and some art with a healthy snack thrown in.

You're never too young to learn about making healthy choices and thanks to a $500 grant from Jefferson County Public Health YogART is being offered to area kids for free at the North Country Children's Clinic.

"The program is available to the children who use the children's clinic," said Jennifer Hodge of the clinic.

YogART lasts 45 minutes and will be held the next three Wednesdays.

There's a session for four to six year olds and one for kids seven to eleven.

It incorporates a healthy snack that's fun to eat.

Mary Beth Knowlton, the director of the Women Infant Children program, said it's a way "to show kids that healthy eating can be fun as well."

You can stop by or call the North Country Children's Clinic at 782-9450 for more information.
