1st Residents Move Into Samaritan Summit Village

Wednesday was moving-in day for some at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown.

Some of the first residents moved into the new skilled care home from Samaritan Keep Wednesday morning.
The new facility has 288 beds and a lot of amenities, including a gift shop and beauty salon.
Donald Branche moved his wife, Christiane in.  He calls the move exciting and says he's looking forward to his wife enjoying her time at there.
"The move went very smoothly," he said. "The facilities are fantastic, obviously."
"I think it's much needed in northern New York and they've done an excellent job," He said.
In all, 173 residents will move into the facility over the next week.
