Two St. Lawrence County residents face charges in connection with an alleged assault last weekend that sent another man to a Vermont hospital.

Potsdam village police say 18-year old Dakota Vallance of Winthrop and 20 year old Bryan Bicknell were involved in an incident on Maple Street in the early morning hours of August 24 that sent a man to a Burlington hospital for reconstructive surgery.

They were each charged with second degree assault with intent to cause serious personal injury.

Vallance and Bicknell were arraigned on the charges Thursday and released under supervision of the probation department.
