Two people from North Dakota are in the St. Lawrence County Jail following their arrest on burglary charges.

Sheriff's deputies arrested 49 year old Robert Warren Jr and 52 year old Louis (Lisa) Messei.

Officials said the pair took items, including handguns, from relatives' homes in the town of Dekalb and Morristown.

The two were later taken into custody near the casino on the Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation.

They were charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Following their arraignment in Oswegatchie Town Court, they were sent to the county jail.

Warren is being held without bail, while Messei is being held in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

Officials said they've found stolen property from both of the reported burglaries in St. Lawrence County and evidence of at least one other crime committed in Wisconsin where a person's wallet was stolen from his vehicle and a credit card had been used.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about the stolen handguns or other criminal activity linked to the suspects to call 315-379-2222.
