2 Teens Arrested In Connection With Carthage VandalismA professional cleanup crew was at work Wednesday at the J and B Ice Cream stand just outside West Carthage. Monday night, burglars kicked open a door and trashed the inside - mostly with the store's flavored syrups - which were thrown on floors, walls, ceilings and equipment. "It's quite a work getting all the syrup stuff of the floors and walls and stuff like that," said Jason Clark of SERVPRO Industries. Equipment and cash were taken from the business. "It was a fair amount and took the computer and a lot of different things they use in the office, but I think most of that, we're gonna get back, luckily," said James Uhlinger, owner of J and B Ice Cream. The burglars also threw a wrench through a window at the Carthage school garage, which also damaged a bus inside. From there, they apparently took some of their loot from the store to the announcing booth at the football field and into the nearby woods, where it was recovered by state police. Charged with burglary are 16 year old Nicholas Bozzi of Fort Drum (pictured), and a 14 year old, whose name isn't being released. Bozzi was charged with third-degree burglary and was ordered held on $10,000 bail. Officials said the 14 year old's case will be handled by family court. Back at the store, which has only been open since April, the business owner is taking it in stride. "I think it's kind of a sign of the times, I'm sorry to say," said Uhlinger.
