Three men are accused of stealing checks from a Potsdam business and cashing them for thousands of dollars.

Potsdam police say they arrested 38 year old Joseph Rousaw of Massena, 27 year old Andrew Garrow of Norwood and 30 year old Shawn McGregor, who was already in jail.

They are accused of stealing checks from a local business, forging names on those checks and cashing them at banks throughout St. Lawrence County for a total of more than $11,000.

Police say the checks were stolen during a burglary that happened in June of last year.

Each was charged with third degree burglary and third degree grand larceny.

Rousaw was sent to jail without bail. Garrow was released to the supervision of probation.
