4-H Raising Funds With Clover Campaign

Four leaf clovers are a stroke of good luck for local 4-H clubs.

This is the third year for the Paper Clover campaign, a partnership between 4-H and tractor supply stores across the state.

Customers can buy a paper clover for a dollar, with 60 cents going to local 4-H clubs and the rest to the state and national organizations.

"It's really helped us out locally to offer more awards for our youth and opportunities to travel and see different things around the state," said Matthew Greene of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County.

Local support has been strong.

In the last campaign, the Watertown store was the top fund-raiser in the state.
