Despite a struggling economy and many parents and graduating high school seniors wondering how they will pay for college, one university in Potsdam is experiencing an influx of people that want in.

Clarkson University is seeing record number applications, numbering over 4,000, thanks in part to the amount of financial aid the school can provide.

Those who have been accepted are "some of the brightest academically" the school has seen, said Brian Grant, Admissions Director for Clarkson.

Marty Ford, Director of Clarkson's Career Center says that while it is great to see so many seeking higher education at Clarkson, those who are heading out of the doors with diploma in hand will have to be patient in their job searches.
