Plea Bargain In Bird Torture Case?

A plea bargain may be in the works for four Clarkson University students in the alleged theft and torture of a small pet bird.

On April 1, the following students - all age 22 - were charged with petit larceny:

  • Matthew Lyndaker of Copenhagen
  • Josh Breckels III of Potsdam
  • Alan Grove of Bothell, Washington
  • Matthew Riso

A small zebra finch was allegedly taken from Ormsby House on the Clarkson campus, tortured and killed by the students.

The four were to have appeared in Potsdam Court Wednesday, but the case has been adjourned until July 15.
