Aubertine in Cape Vincent, Not the Capital on Thursday

By Kris Rusho

Governor David Paterson said state senators would be spending Fourth of July weekend in Albany, holding sessions and trying to broker a power sharing agreement.

However, Democrat State Senator Darrel Aubertine spent Thursday afternoon in his home town of Cape Vincent.

Aubertine was marked as present for yesterday's senate session, but his spokesman said he had permission to be physically absent at the time.

The senator was apparently attending a constituents meeting in Cape Vincent, but details of what that meeting was about were not revealed.

Darrel is now back in Albany and is about to check in for the latest senate session, but it is not clear if he will stay in Albany through the holiday weekend.
