DealMaker Auto Group Sues Former Employee & Owner Of Dealership
DealMaker Auto Group is suing a former employee and the owner of a used car dealership. The lawsuit was filed with the Jefferson County Clerk's Office. DealMaker alleges KC Auto Sales and Junior Stefanini worked together to defraud DealMaker. They allegedly falsified and pre-dated documents, giving KC the ability to sell vehicles that were still legally owned by DealMaker. The two men then allegedly pocketed the profits. DealMaker is suing for the money lost plus 9 percent interest. "We are denying any and all allegations made by DealMaker and we would ask the public to consider the source - the source being a highly questionable business at this point in time," said Karl Sleight, attorney for KC Autos. The Albany-based lawyer said Friday he had yet to see the court papers. 7 News also heard from Junior Stefanini and he is waiting to talk with his lawyer before issuing a statement. DealMaker was not available for comment. According to the court documents, between 2001 and 2008, DealMaker sold approximately 1,300 autos, totaling almost $4 million, through KC Autos. |
