$5,000 Reward Offered In Drive-By Shooting Case

The family of a shooting victim has put up a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Early Monday morning, 24 year old Robert Hunt III of Three Mile Bay was shot as he sat in a parked car along Ohio Street.

The car with the alleged shooter sped off.

According to police, the car was a four-door, dark-colored sedan.

The victim's father told 7 News his son said the car was red.

The father also said his son is walking and talking.

According to the dad, Hunt stopped by a friend's house after work to made s'mores.

As he was leaving, Hunt was shot five times, the father said.

Police say Hunt has been under sedation in a Syracuse hospital and they have not spoken to him yet.

The family has put up a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction - something police say could only help them in their investigation.

"It's not like we have a great description to give out but it would be people that have some kind of closer knowledge to those involved. Maybe they knew that this was going to happen or they heard about it after the fact," said Detective Stephen Backus of the Watertown Police Department.

If you have information, call the Watertown Police Department at 782-2233.
