$52K Sign Designed To Attract New Businesses

The Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority is hoping a new visual marketing tool will pay off by attracting new business.
 
The 11-by-11 foot digital sign is located in the median near the toll booth to the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge.

It not only welcomes travelers, it also promotes the area to potential businesses.

Since the sign was first installed several weeks ago, OBPA officials say it has helped raise the authority's profile of the airport, the port and the industrial park for business prospects.

"We're actively promoting the industrial park. We're working on projects that look at three under-utilized parcels here at the authority for residential, hotel or commercial projects in the future and the future is bright," said OBPA Executive Director Wade Davis.

The sign cost $52,000.
