Republican candidate DeDe Scozzafava says that while many think this race has brought national attention to the North Country, she believes that it has just brought a lot of noise.

"If we were truly sitting down and talking about national issues, whether it be foreign policy or the re-regulation of finance...we aren't even talking about that, neither are either of my candidates talking about local issues."

Scozzafava reinterated her stance on cutting back on spending and taxing and wanting to create an atmosphere that can encourage employment opportunities.

And while poll after poll has her falling behind her opponents, Scozzafava says that she feels confident of a victory on Tuesday.

"I believe that the grass roots campaigning that we've done will pay dividends.  Polls come and go."
