Donna Grant from Jefferson County Public Health says when she receives the vaccines, she can start the clinics, and she is expecting a shipment as early as Monday.

Schools sent letters home with students, but only about 30% of parents have given consent for their children to have the vaccines.

"I think part of it is uncertainty on the parents part. We've tried to send a very consistent message as has the state department of health and the CDC, but there's a lot of conflicting information out there," says Grant.

Grant says many parents don't realize this is just a reformulation of the regular seasonal vaccine.

She says the best way to protect children from H1N1 is to give them the vaccine.
