Prison Instructor Accused Of Having Sexual Relations With Inmate

A vocational instructor at a state prison has been arrested for allegedly having sexual relations with an inmate.

State police arrested 41 year old Lori J. Shova of 120 Duane Street in Malone last Friday.

She's charged with misdemeanor counts of official misconduct and second-degree sexual abuse.

Shova was employed at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone as a vocational instructor.

According to police, her charges stem from her alleged involvement with an inmate at that facility.

Shova was released and will appear in Malone Town Court on November 5 at 9 a.m.
