A St. Lawrence County Board of Elections official said there will be either partial or no results coming from certain communities Tuesday night.

Republican Department Head Deborah Pahler told 7 News the scanners malfunctioned on the new election machines in the towns of Clare, Edwards and Rossie and possibly in Louisville, Waddington and the Potsdam Civic Center.

She said emergency ballots were placed in a lock box and impounded.

Pahler was unable to say how many ballots are involved or when they would be counted.

She said it was unlikely they would be counted Tuesday night.

Pahler said as many as ten districts were affected.

Meanwhile, Lewis County's Republican Elections Commissioner Ann Nortz said three machines malfuntioned - one in New Bremen and two in West Turin.

The unknown number of ballots were to be impounded.

It's unclear when they will be counted.

7 News also learned that at least 12 districts in Fulton County had a glitch with the new voting system.

It was expected there would be no counting of ballots from those districts Tuesday night.
