Two people were airlifted to a Syracuse hospital after a head-on crash in the Jefferson County town of Pamelia.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department says a Dodge minivan driven by 40 year old Delores Angel of Philadelphia, New York, crossed the center line and hit a sedan head-on.

Officials said the sedan was driven by a 24 year old male.

The crash happened along Military Road just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the accident.

Sheriff's deputies said the male is in the military.

They wouldn't release his identity until his family is notified.

Both crash victims are being treated for serious injuries.
