Town of Pamelia Man Dead After Truck Strikes Tree

A 46 year old town of Pamelia man is dead after Jefferson County Sherrif's Deputies responded to an accident in a residential yard near Graham Road.

On November 4, around 10:31 PM, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a personal injury accident on State Route 37 in the town of Pamelia.

Investigation into the accident revealed that the vehicle exited the eastern side of the road and struck a tree.

Jeffrey A. Murtha was taken to Samaritan Medical Center by Guilfoyle Ambulance for treatment, but was pronounced deceased at the facility.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies were assisted by the North Pole Fire Department and Guilfoyle Emergency Services.
