Watertown's Old Black River Brewing Company Gets New Owner
The old Black River Brewing Company on Newell Street in Watertown has been officially sold to a new owner. Hole Brothers Holdings LLC bought the building from the city for $300,000. Developer Reg Schweitzer says he'd like to put in a new restaurant and bar called "Maggie's." The sale caused controversy over the summer when Schweitzer wanted to use the deck attached to the building as part of his restaurant, even though it was technically a public space. The city council made the decision to put tables on the deck and make it available to the public, including patrons of the restaurant. Most Popular |
