Evans Mills Man Faces Child Porn Charge

A 27 year old Evans Mills man is accused of promoting child porn.

State police arrested Edwins Perez of 28344 Pheasant Run Road on a felony count of Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child.

According to officials, the New York State Police Computer Crimes/Internet Crimes against Children Task Force and the FBI gathered enough evidence to obtain a search warrant.

Police searched the Perez residence Thursday and said they found numerous images of children less than 17 years old engaging in sexual conduct.

The alleged incident occurred on April 21.

Perez was arraigned in Pamelia Town Court and released on his own recognizance pending grand jury action.

Fort Drum (Criminal Investigation Division) CID also assisted in the investigation.
