The Buffalo Inn is back in business in the Town of Champion, after it was destroyed by a fire and rebuilt.

The business is owned by Susan and Tracy McCarty.

Susan says she's glad to be back in business and to see her husband Tracy smiling behind the bar again.

"Money was very tight. We had to make some choices whether to rebuild or not, and we did. We wanted to come back," she said.

The Buffalo Inn burned down in December of 2008.

Several fire crews rushed to the scene, but, by the time they arrived, the building was already engulfed in flames.

The Inn was destroyed.

The McCartys built the new Buffalo Inn themselves, working around the clock with friends for the big grand reopening.

It cost around $250,000 to rebuild.

"We're pretty happy with it. I think it turned out pretty well," says Tracy McCarty.

The customers agree.

"It's great," says customer Tim Sullivan. "I'll have a place to go."

The McCartys say they're thrilled to see all the familiar faces back at the bar, and they're looking forward to having new customers, too.
