Signs May Change in the Adirondacks
The brown and yellow signs that help visitors navigate through the Adirondacks may soon become a thing of the past. The Federal Highway Administration has suggested the state consider replacing those signs with brown signs with white lettering, similar to the ones used in national parks. Federal officials say the new signs would be more reflective in low lighting and easier to see. However, some people are opposed to changing the signs, saying the current signs are a part of the unique identity of the Adirondacks.
