Eight people have been arrested following a 10-month investigation into a burglary in Colton last year.

State police say a garage on Leary Road was broken into in April 2013. Three handguns and nine long guns were taken from a gun safe, along with various tools and jewelry from the garage and the home.

Arrested were:

- Jose Luzunaris, 25 years old, of Winthrop, was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.

- Jason Dennis, 35 years old, of North Lawrence, was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.

- Rodney Deshane Jr., 23, of Brasher Falls, was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.

- Andrew Jensen, 19, of Waddington, was charged with third degree burglary.

- Deshelia Thomas-Jandrew, 38, of Massena, was charged with third degree burglary.

- Justin Love, 23, of Massena, was charged with third degree burglary.

- Austin Villnave, 19, of Massena, was charged with third degree burglary, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal sale of a firearm.

- Eric Deshane, 20, of Massena, was charged with third degree burglary.

Troopers say six of the 12 guns have been recovered. They say all were sold or in the process of being sold.

"Many of the reported guns that were stolen, the owners aren't able to provide serial numbers, which does help us in identifying and ultimately returning them to their rightful owners," said State Police Investigator Daniel Howard.

Still missing are:

- Ruger .22-caliber single 6, serial #365154.

- Unknown make .22-caliber single 6, approximately 50 to 60 years old and may be painted black.

- Remington .270-caliber with Leopold scope, serial #C6596611.

- Ruger model 1022 with Tasco scope, serial #235-33351.

- Winchester model 255, .22 mag, serial #613868.

- ARMI Sport Italy black powder, serial #49065.

Troopers say anyone with any of these guns in his or her possession can turn them in without penalty. Anyone with information can call Investigator Christopher Nye at 315-379-0012.
