Man Allegedly Beat Girlfriend, Threw Her Down Stairs

A 22 year old Norwood man is accused of repeatedly punching his girlfriend in the face and throwing her down a flight of stairs.

State police charged Alexander J. White of 44 South Main Street, Apartment 2, with third-degree assault.

He was arrested at 8:45 a.m. Sunday following the domestic dispute in Norwood.

White was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $2,500 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Potsdam Town Court on January 7.
