North Country Helps Haiti
People all over the North Country are reaching into their pockets to help those in need in earthquake-ravaged Haiti. You could see one example of this in North Country churches Sunday morning. Catholic churches held a collection today. The money will go to Catholic Charities, providing relief to those in the devastated country. Many people living in Haiti practice Catholicism, and Father Don Robinson of St. Patrick's Church says his parishioners are more than willing to donate. "The people in Watertown and the Watertown parishes are always very generous for these special collections," says Father Robinson. The collections aren't just happening here. Churches across America have been collecting money that will be used to get the Haitian people back on their feet. Most Popular |
